Reports indicate that Liverpool will allow Arne Slot to have the ‘final say’ as Real Madrid looks to exchange Rodrygo for Alexis Mac Allister this summer.  The Reds clinched the Premier League title on Sunday with four games remaining after defeating Tottenham 5-1 in a dominant performance at Anfield.  Liverpool lead their closest competitors, Arsenal, by 15 points – with the Gunners likely to end up as runners-up for the third consecutive season – and now the Reds can focus on their summer objectives.  Slot’s squad received a significant uplift recently when Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk inked new two-year deals after speculation they might depart on free transfers in the summer.  A player who is highly expected to depart is Trent Alexander-Arnold, with numerous reports suggesting he will move to Real Madrid when his contract ends in late June.  Reports from Spain suggest that Real Madrid may be poised to sign another Liverpool star, as Defensa Central stat...

Enzo Maresca provides a scathing evaluation of Chelsea's loss to Brighton

• Chelsea suffered a 3-0 loss to Brighton on Friday night.

• Blues did not manage to take a single shot on target.

• Maresca expresses regret to supporters for subpar performance.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has admitted that the 3-0 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion was the worst display he has witnessed since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues were unable to make a single shot on target as Kaoru Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh delivered Chelsea their second loss to the Seagulls in a week, following their elimination from the FA Cup by their latest rivals last weekend.

"I have sympathy for the supporters," Maresca stated to Sky Sports following the final whistle. "We cannot provide the appropriate performance, particularly at this stage of the season." We must remain united.

"I constantly feel pressure." "The performance has been the worst since I got here."

As Chelsea supporters once more chanted the name of ex-owner Roman Abramovich, Maresca admitted he realized why fans felt so frustrated following a fifth loss in their last ten matches in all competitions.

"This outcome, the annoyance is regarding all things," he stated. "Without a doubt, we deeply regret the situation for the fans who come here; given our current moment and standing, we must improve significantly compared to what we have achieved."

"I believe we managed to control the game and maintain possession of the ball." However, I mentioned prior to the match that when lacking a [striker] who poses a threat, we must seek alternative solutions. It's not solely about opportunities.

"We need to improve in numerous areas." There are still numerous games remaining, and we remain in a favorable position. We must give our all and strive to conclude in the finest manner.

"We're in a phase where it seems we can give in effortlessly and find it hard to score." I believe they didn't have any opportunities before the goal. "We can improve in numerous ways."
