According to a source, Marcus Rashford's representatives met with Manchester United on Wednesday to discuss all of his transfer alternatives.
During the past several weeks, Rashford has been the subject of interest from clubs all across Europe. SPORT reports that the 27-year-old's representatives brought all of those alternatives to United for a crucial meeting on Wednesday.
As the Red Devils want to save costs, Rashford is free to depart United this month. Everyone concerned agrees that a loan is much more likely in January due to the forward's enormous salary, even though a permanent transfer of £40 million is said to be their preferred option.
Monaco and Borussia Dortmund are also interested, although AC Milan is believed to have made the most substantial offer. Rashford's top destination, Barcelona, is also considering a move. Even the Premier League has expressed interest, with West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur being mentioned. However, it is thought that United will not bolster a direct rival and will instead try to send Rashford abroad.
Since Barcelona needs to sell players to free up financial space to add Rashford to their team, they are fighting to persuade the Englishman to postpone making a decision about his future in the hopes of winning the race for his signature.
It's interesting to note that United, who have contacted Barcelona to negotiate a deal for center-back Andreas Christensen, may offer that financial assistance.
In order to increase his transfer value over the next six months and create a rush for his signature in the summer, Rashford is anticipated to depart United on a straight loan agreement without an obligatory buyout clause.
