Man City will play in the Conference League when Forest does their part against West Ham to fulfill our new goal

Forest has given the rest of us faith that Man City will reach funny new heights under Pep Guardiola's leadership, and they are still in the running for the Champions League.  Having won seven of their last eight games, Nottingham Forest was tied for second place with Arsenal and as near to Liverpool (6 points) at the top as Newcastle sixth in mid-January. They widened the gap to seven points by the beginning of April, moving up to sixth place. No matter the level, playing in Europe is an incredible accomplishment for Nottingham Forest, who ended 17th last season with fewer than half the points they have won so far this season.  However, after a run of one win in six games allowed the more conventional (let's call them dull) competitors to enter, it will be a blow, if not a crushing one, to not qualify for the Champions League after holding one of the spots for so long of the year. With one game remaining and Forest holding a Conference League spot, it's likely that we wil...

UNITED NEW FAN FAVORITE: What Man Utd's New Hero(Altay Bayindir) Did for Teammates After FA Cup Win Revealed

After defeating Arsenal on penalties in the FA Cup third round, Manchester United goalie Altay Bayindir treated his colleagues to a celebration dinner.

When required to keep United level in a thrilling cup match in north London, Bayindir, who had a rough first 70 minutes, came to life. Martin Odegaard, who had never missed from 12 yards in his senior professional career, went up after Arsenal was controversially granted a penalty when referee Andy Madley determined that Harry Maguire had fouled Kai Havertz without VAR being able to come in.

Before Declan Rice made an incredible point-blank save to force extra time, Bayindir ended that record by scrambling to his left and palming the ball away. Ultimately, a penalty shootout was required to separate the two adversaries, and Bayindir once more emerged victorious after saving Kai Havertz's attempt.

Bayindir was rightfully awarded player of the match, and United scored all five of their penalties to go to the fourth round, where they would reunite with Ruud van Nistelrooy, who is now Leicester's manager.

Andre Onana, Bayindir's goalkeeping teammate, talked about how the team celebrated the occasion on club channels.

We all gave him our congratulations for a job well done. "He makes us all proud," Onana said. He is putting in a lot of effort every day and has been here for a year and a half or more. He's been rewarded now. He worth it.

By the way, he had such a great performance that he invited us to the restaurant [after the game]. I'm hoping he'll invite us more often since that indicates he'll keep playing this way."

Before his exploits on Sunday, Bayindir had only played four games for United, three of which were in the Carabao Cup this season. Despite this, United has been linked to acquiring a new goalkeeper, with Zion Suzuki of Parma, who is reportedly valued at £40 million, being a target for the team.
