NEYMAR TO INTER MIAMI? Club Boss Drops Huge Transfer Hint

The salary cap in Major League Soccer makes it "impossible" to recruit Neymar from Al, according to Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano.

 Since relocating to Saudi Arabia in August 2023, the Brazilian superstar has only made seven appearances for Al Hilal, missing around a year due to an ACL injury. Since rejoining the team in October of last year, he has experienced more fitness problems.

Neymar has said that he would love to rejoin old teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami, and his lack of participation in the Middle East has sparked rumors of a possible departure in January or the summer. 

From 2014 to 2017, the trio played together at Barcelona, where they formed the infamous and lethal 'MSN' trifecta.

Neymar acknowledged in an interview with CNN: "Obviously, it would be amazing to play with Messi and Suarez again. I'm buddies with them. We still communicate with one another. Reviving this trio would be intriguing.

Who knows? I'm content in Saudi Arabia and at Al Hilal. There are many surprises in football. 

Although Neymar's remarks fueled rumors of a move to Major League Soccer, Inter Miami manager Mascherano, who also played with Neymar at Barcelona, asserted that the salary cap of the league would prevent the American team from reaching an agreement.

The 40-year-old stated, "We have nothing, so we cannot talk about Neymar." "Neymar is undoubtedly a fantastic player. Every coach in the world wants him, but right now, you are aware of the salary cap regulations in Major League Soccer. Therefore, it is difficult for us to try to think about him right now."

When the transfer window opens in late January and closes in April, Inter Miami, who won the Eastern Conference and Supporters' Shield for the first time in 2024, will have the chance to bolster their roster. The new Major League Soccer season starts on February 22.
